Day 1
Phnom Penh City tour.
Good morning Phnom Penh!!
After a hearty buffet breakfast at our 4 star hotel, jump aboard our fleet of Tuk Tuk’s , Cambodia’s version of a Rickshaw or Bemo, through the bustling streets of Phnom Penh to experience the local Khmer people’s incredible resilience, which makes their ever smiling faces even more beautiful given your new found knowledge of their past hardships!
You will experience both S28, the former highschool turned torture and interrogation centre of the Pol Pot regime and also the infamous Killing Fields, a place of horror littered with the bones of shattered lives, and the story’s of unthinkable brutality and heartbreak.
After refreshments , those who wish can visit the local shooting range and unleash on a variety of machine guns, pistols, even rocket launchers - Cambodia really is a ‘can do’ country like no other!

If that’s not your thing, return to the hotel for a relaxing massage or hang by the pool or visit the local cafes & galleries 5pm has us onboard for our twilight cruise, navigating the waters of the mighty Mekong & Tonle Sap rivers, offering unparalleled views of the ever expanding city- scape of this emerging metropolis, and the contrasting life of the simple river fisherman plying their trade & run down shanty homes on the opposing shoreline. dinner & drinks are served onboard .
Day 2
Phnom Penh to Kratie 245km
Ride day ! . detailed rider briefing . with our bags loaded in our trusty support 4x4 . we are soon on our way . ride through the hustle & bustle of Phnom Penh, to meet our awaiting ferry to cross the mighty Mekong . these busy ferry's jammed locals going about their daily routine. We attract a certain amount of attention on our Adventure bikes, which are considered big among the local scooters . we will most likely be the only westerners onboard . its a great way to experience local life firsthand .
today ride has us riding though rural country back roads hugging the banks of the Mekong as we edge our way north through traditional villages that line the river. the local people this area are known as the charm people . Kratie is famed for fresh water dolphins that inhabit this part of the Mekong river. we do often seem them so keep an eye out .. our over night stay over looks the mighty Mekong. enjoy the sunset vista with an ice cold beverage.
Day 3 Kratie to Mondulkiri 210km
Good morning Cambodia .sunrise morning stroll checkout some of the local markets, grab a cooffee. good breakfast at hotel, 8.00 helmets on .. back in the saddle we head east into the mountainous highlands of Mondulkiri close to the Vietnam border . along the way keep your eyes peeled for monkeys,often seen in the jungle trees . Mondulkiri is the most sparsely populated province in the country despite being the largest in land area.
we are welcomed by the smiling faces of locals and waving children as we ride through this region. home to the Bunong people who have resided in the province for about 2000 years,over night lodgings iseco resort with very comfortable private cabins,compete with a welcoming restaurant,bar & swimming pool .
Day 4 Mondulkiri to Stung Treng 330km
Today we are riding north through the Ratanakiri province, regarded as one of the least developed provinces of Cambodia, the geography of Ratanakiri province is diverse, encompassing rolling hills,mountains, plateaus, lowlands watersheds, and crater lakes, two major rivers, Tonie San and Tonie Srepok , nearly half of Ratanakiri has been set aside in protected areas. along the way we pass a number of indigenous communities many are extremely poor and the way of life seems unchanged for centuries. keep an eye out for elephant crossing signs. yep there's Elephants
lunch in Rattanakiri before we ride west towards the Stung Treng province, bordering Laos to the north. the province features three big rivers, the Sekong river, the Siem Pang and the Mekong with its hundreds of small islands scattered on the river stretch. Stung Treng's economy is solely based on agriculture. we venture onto a back track through a small village to be welcomed by our resort style bungalows a hidden oasis nestled along the Mekong river, picturesque surroundings incredible sunsets backed with a chilled beverage fantastic food . epic bar
Day 5 Stung Treng
Wake up to an epic vista across the mighty Mekong. Homemade powered canoes can be seen heading to the local market with a fresh catch of fish!. Enjoy a relaxing morning . Just out the gate is a local village which is well worth a wonder. Late morning we head out for a ride to checkout the simple life that surrounds this region We swing by a local school, kids here rarely see outsiders. If you packed some small gifts this is a great location to hand them out. local ride exploring some sights
Day 6 Stung Treng - Siem Reap 310km
A epic ride & scenery. ride out through the village with plenty of waves from our village friends. We ride through Streng Trung city which lies at the confluence of the San,Kong, & Mekong rivers. The area around Stung Streng is inhabited by the mountain Mon-Khmer, Valley Khmer, and Lao-Tai peoples. The main agricultural product is rice . Riding these back roads sure does give you a good insight into the local way of life . things to see along the way that you just don’t see anywhere else in the world. We ride to Siem Reap, the second largest city in Cambodia. Home to Angkor Wat (Wat Temple) is the central feature of the Angkor UNESCO world Heritage Site. It is considered the largest religious structure in the world . Dating back to the 12th century . Siem Reap is a popular tourist town and has a big array of local craft markets, restaurants & bars. We arrive to our welcoming hidden oasis complete with a very nice pool . Enjoy ! .
Day 7 . Siem Reap - Angkor Wat
R&R today is a chilled pace but no shortage of adventure . while our bikes get break & get serviced we have an expert temple guide joining us, we jump aboard our Tuk Tuks, its time to see the extraordinary marvel of Angkor.
considered the largest religious structure in the world. its truly amazing. afternoon has back in time to enjoy the pool, get a massage. explore the towns cafes , bars and restaurants. head into Siem Reap and enjoy all the flavours of Pub Street .
Day 8 Siem Reap - Kampong Cham 256km
Today sees us riding south towards our next destination, Kampong Cham located in the Mekong. Known for its French colonial buildings. Our ride has plenty of bum stops & sights. Check out the local roadside statue carvers turning massive rocks into works of art, Incredible. Midway has us stopping in at Kampong Thom city for lunch. our overnight stay in Kampong Cham hotel overlooksthe mightly Mekong. Time to pop the esky for a well deserved drink . People watching over a few brews is always great !
Day 9 Kampong Cham - Phnom Penh 120km
We are on the final stretch of this incredible ride . We take the back roads that wind through local villages and a couple of ferry rides. With our final ferry ride takes us to the edge of Phnom Penh and within a couple of km from our riverside hotel. This great location is in the centre of Phnom Penh. Great views with a rooftop pool & bar . Welcome to Phnom Penh
enjoying this very unique part of the world . the Kingdom of wonder Cambodia sure does deliver when it comes to adventure. We arrive back to comforts of our hotel for a final night stay on this grand adventure.
